Will Trent is soon to be back in action.
The first episode of “Will Trent” Season 4 premieres on ABC on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET. The third season of the crime-thriller wrapped up in May 2025.
Debuting in 2023, “Will Trent” is based on Karin Slaughter’s book series of the same name. Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was abandoned at birth and endured a tough coming-of-age through the foster care system, according to ABC’s synopsis. Now, Will is determined to make sure no one else is abandoned like he was.
In 2024, Ramón RodrÃguez was recognized as the Breakthrough Actor for Television for his role as Will Trent in the series at the Critics Choice Awards.

How to watch ‘Will Trent’ Season 4 premiere
The first episode of “Will Trent” Season 4, titled, “…Speaking of Sharks,” premieres on Tuesday, Jan 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The episode will be available for streaming on Wednesday, Jan. 7 on Hulu.
‘Will Trent’ Season 4 episode release schedule
Following the season premiere, the second episode of Season 4, “Love Takes Time,” will release on Tuesday, Jan. 13, according to ABC.
As of Jan. 4, a full episode release schedule had not been shared for “Will Trent” Season 4, and ABC was unable to provide a schedule to USA TODAY.
Previous seasons don’t help much on predicting the upcoming season’s length. Season 1 was made up of 13 episodes, Season 2 of 10, and Season 3 included 18 episodes.
