In anticipation of a busy fall travel season, Avelo Airlines is adding more nonstop flights from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to New Haven, Connecticut, and Albany and Rochester in New York.
Beginning Sept. 11, Avelo said the airline will double its flights to Albany (ALB) to four times weekly, with the addition of Thursday and Sunday services to complement Monday and Friday services.
On Sept. 12, the airline will add three additional flights to Rochester (ROC), with service five times weekly on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Lastly, on Oct. 1, Avelo will add daily service to New Haven (HVN), with additional twice daily flights surrounding the holidays.
These additions come after Avelo canceled a nonstop service to the Bahamas due to low flight demands.
Last month, the airline launched two domestic routes to Grand Rapids, Michigan and to Philadelphia.
In February, Avelo began its first international nonstop routes from RDU to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
