Throughout the years, musicians and artists offered a glimpse into their antics before heading out on stage. Getting ready to perform a concert for what can turn into three hours takes a great deal of preparation. Not to mention the stress that comes along with it. For some stars, they decided to huddle together and say a prayer. For others, they perform a ritual that includes their favorite food or even alcohol. But for Ella Langley, she apparently had more than one ritual featuring peppermint oil, alcohol, and a drinking horn.
Taking part in an interview with Audacy Music, Langley discussed several topics surrounding her career on stage and life away from the spotlight. But throughout the conversation, the singer decided to open up about her pre-show ritual. To start the ritual off, she and her band rubbed peppermint oil on their hands. “We just put a little bit in the palm of our hand, rub it together, and kind of talk about our intentions on the show. What we want the show to be for us, for them, for the crowd. All the good vibes you could possibly think of for walking out there.”
Although peppermint oil promoted several healing properties, she noted how it helped give her a small adrenaline rush before heading out in front of thousands of fans. But with the country star needing the oil, she insisted on keeping it far away from your eyes. “We’ve all done it before the show, and then we are in the show and our eyes are watering because there is so much peppermint oil in our eyes.”

Ella Langley Goes From Peppermint Oil To Drinking Horn
Moving forward with the ritual, Langley also led the band in loose body dancing to allow the body to get rid of any remaining tension. And to end the entire process, it wouldn’t be complete with a little, or a lot, of alcohol.
With Langley explaining how she mysteriously stumbled upon a drinking horn while shopping, the singer decided to bring it on the road with her. Pouring what appeared to be whiskey into the horn, each member of the group took a shot. And if there was any left over, Langley was sure to put it to good use.
While using the horn backstage, Langley often brought it out during her concerts. On more than one occasion, fans filmed the singer taking shots from the unique horn. And for some fans, they wished she would share the horn and alcohol with them. But for now, it was only for those who took the stage with her.
