The All-Star break came at a good time for the Sky, after suffering two lopsided losses, one to the Lynx by 13 and the last to the Atlanta Dream by 37. Notably, Reese was absent for the 37-point home loss that saw no single Sky player register double-digit points. Rebecca Allen led the team with nine points off the bench, while Kamila Cardoso added eight points and 11 rebounds.

Minnesota comes into the game as a juggernaut, placing first in the WNBA in both offense and defensive rating. They’re led by 28-year-old superstar Collier, who is averaging 23.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. Her shooting line is fantastic: .517/.342/.946 as well, placing her at the top of the MVP conversation. The Lynx had won their last two games before the All-Star break, with the most recent being a 79-66 win over the Phoenix Mercury, with Kayla McBridge leading the team in scoring with 18.

This will be the fourth and final regular-season matchup between the Sky and Lynx, with Minnesota winning two of the three previous games.
