Justin Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, recently penned some emotional words for her son.
Earlier this week, Mallette posted an Instagram carousel filled with black and white snaps of the former teen idol, 31, wearing a T-shirt that read “pray for me,” accompanied by a lengthy caption dedicated to the singer.
“We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin. 🙏 ,” she began her post. “I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin.”
“Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain—be broken in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, surround him with TRUTH, LIGHT, and PROTECTION,” Mallette continued. “HEAL EVERY WOUND in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS.”
“Fill him to OVERFLOWING with Your LOVE and COMFORT. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord,” she added. “Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree. 🙏🔥.”

It was unclear what inspired Mallette’s prayer, but in the past, the “Baby” hitmaker has been candid about his battle with his mental health.
“People keep telling me to heal. Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?” Bieber wrote in a June Instagram post. “I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues. I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and more angry.”
The Grammy Award winner also addressed his struggles on the track “Therapy Sessions” featuring Druski on his latest album, Swag, which was released in July.
“I have had to go through a lot of my struggles as a human, as all of us do, really publicly, so people are always asking if I’m ok, and that starts to really weigh on me,” he admitted.
