Hot on the heels of the May release of Leon Thomas’ super-sized MUTT special edition MUTT Deluxe: HEEL, the multitalented artist has even more new music on the way. His EP PHOLKS, which he describes as “the evolution of my art,” is scheduled to drop next week, and he continues to tease the set by unveiling its tantalizing tracklist.
PHOLKS will feature seven songs, kicking off with the funky single “Just How You Are.” Next on the tracklist is a song entitled “My Muse,” which Leon provided a sneak preview of on Instagram. The snippet already sounds like our next favorite song with the killer hook, “You’re not my girl, but you still my muse.”
More titles follow that have piqued our interest, such as “5MoreMinutes” and “Baccarat.” The lone feature on PHOLKS is from 4batz, who returns the favor of Leon collaborating with him on his single “act xi: she ain’t no angel” on the cut “Lone Wolf” to close out the EP.
Although we’re still kinda stuck on MUTT and MUTT Deluxe: HEEL, we will happily make some room on our playlists for new Leon Thomas. PHOLKS is set to be released on Friday, October 24th and is available to pre-save on your favorite digital music streamers. Peep the back cover and tracklist below.
