Peter Parker is back – and he’s returning with some familiar faces from the MCU!
Mark Ruffalo is set to reprise his role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the upcoming Sony/Marvel movie sequel, alongside Tom Holland as Spider-Man, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This comes 14 years after the 57-year-old actor first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “The Avengers.” The crew is set to start production this month in England. Michael Mando will also return to his role as the Scorpion, the villain from 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” along with Jon Bernthal as vigilante, the Punisher.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland is getting fans excited with a first look at his new Spidey suit. He posted a teaser of himself in costume as our favorite webslinger, captioned, “Are you ready? – 7.31.2026.”
Tom, 29, recently revealed how excited he is to return to the Spider-Man universe, after COVID-19 restrictions made shooting difficult on the third movie, 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
He said on the YouTube series, “Flip Your Wig,” “I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of Covid. We shot the entire film on stages. Now we’re really going to lean into that old school filmmaking and shoot in real locations.
“We are going to use the streets of Glasgow for this massive set piece that we are putting together,” Tom continued.
Tom added that playing Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter-ego is “like hanging out with an old pal” and filming the fourth movie is “going to feel like making ‘Spider-Man’ 1 again,” referring to 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
“It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s going to feel like a breath of fresh air. I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together,” he said.
Zendaya, who got engaged to Tom in January, will also be returning as MJ in Spider-Man 4, along with Jacob Batalon as Peter Parker’s best friend, Ned.
Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have joined the franchise, but their characters have not been revealed, according to PEOPLE.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
