Some big news for Mike Bell and the Pitt Panthers baseball program.

Back in November of 2024, Pennsylvania star outfielder Mason Ligenza signed with Pitt during the early signing period.

Ligenza was the first high school player taken from Pennsylvania in this year’s draft.

The native of Brockton, Pennsylvania then had a decision to make- sign with the Dodgers for stay committed to Pitt. Being selected in the 6th round came with a slot value of $317,200.
