Cameron Brink stepped up during the Los Angeles Sparks’ 102-91 win over the Connecticut Sun on Thursday night.
points off bench in SparksBrink finished with a season-high 11 points to go along with five rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 17 minutes off the bench. She continued to operate on a minutes restriction, as she made her fourth appearance of the season after recovering from a torn ACL.
Thursday marked her first double-digit scoring performance since the injury.
Brink was also efficient from all areas of the floor, shooting 3-of-4 from the field and connecting on both of her attempts from three-point territory. She hit all three of her free throws as well.
Dearica Hamby and Rickea Jackson led the way for Los Angeles offensively, combining to score 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting.
Julie Allemand recorded a triple-double for the Sparks, dishing out a team-high 11 assists while grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 10 points.
Brink and the rest of Los Angeles’ frontcourt were dominant around the rim on both ends of the floor, finishing with 48 points in the paint as a team compared to just 32 from Connecticut.
