The United States Men’s U-20 National Team have arrived in Chile for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and they arrive with expectations to try and make a breakthrough. In the past 4 U-20 World Cups, the United States has advanced to the quarterfinals, but that has been where their road ends. This time around, they hope to take the next step and get to the semifinals, where they would have a chance to get to the final game.
They are in Group E alongside New Caledonia, France, and South Africa, and they begin the group stage tonight against New Caledonia. The United States will not take the team from Oceania for granted, but they also want to start out on the right foot and put some points on the board. They have some good players on the roster and head coach Marko Mitrović will have to utilize that talent to get them going. It’s a nice look at the future as the United States gets their U-20 World Cup started.
