Why isn’t ‘Big Brother’ on TV tonight (9/7/25)?


“Big Brother” fans will have to wait a few more days to see the next episode.

Normally, the reality TV show airs on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on CBS.

This week that schedule is changed because CBS will air the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards tonight, Sunday, Sept. 7.

  • LIVE STREAM: Fans can watch CBS without cable on Paramount+, which is offering a 50% off annual subscription; DirecTV and fuboTV, both of which offer a five-day free trial.

Through Sept. 18, new and returning Paramount+ subscribers can get 50% off an annual subscription to the Paramount+ Essential (with ads) and Paramount+ Premium (without ads) plans.

The essential plan is available during the promotion for $29.99 a year. Premium is $59.99 a year. Neither include a free trial. Monthly plans are not included in the promotion.

“Big Brother,” season 27, episode 29, will air 8-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7. The regular schedule then resumes with shows 8-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, and 8-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9.

During the last eviction episode on Sept. 4, Mickey Lee was evicted. She had been on the block along with Vince Panaro and Ashley Hollis. Panaro won the BB Block Buster and was removed from the block. The vote to evict Lee was 6-1.

  • Ava Pearl, 24, an aura painter from New York, New York
  • Clifton “Will” Williams, 50, a college sports podcaster from Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Keanu Soto, 33, a dungeon master from McKinney, Texas
  • Kelley Jorgensen, 29, a web designer from Burbank, South Dakota
  • Lauren Domingue, 22, a bridal consultant from Lafayette, Louisiana
  • Morgan Pope, 33, a gamer from Los Angeles, California
  • Vince Panaro, 34, unemployed from West Hills, California
  • Rachel Reilly, 40, winner of “Big Brother” 13

The “Big Brother” house is outfitted with more than 100 cameras and 100 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, someone will be voted out of the house. The last remaining houseguest will win the grand prize of $750,000.

Fans can watch live feeds from inside the house 24/7 on Paramount+.

What is Paramount+?

Paramount+ streaming service includes CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV and Smithsonian Channel along with sports and originals. The Paramount+ Essential Plan is $7.99 a month or $59.99 for a year. The Paramount+ Premium plan with Showtime is $12.99 a month or $119.99 a year. Paramount+ offers a SEVEN-DAY FREE TRIAL.
