Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham kept a close eye on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last Wednesday. That’s not a huge surprise considering a WNBA superstar made her debut on the big stage in New York.
Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky became the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The former No. 7 pick from LSU wore a pink floral lingerie set. She completed her look with the signature angel wings.
“It was destined for me,” Reese said prior, via The Associated Press. “This is already for me. I’m so happy to be sitting in this room with so many amazing models and women. The team that put this all together has been amazing. I’m so excited.”

On this week’s episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast, Cunningham made it clear that she wants to paritcipate in next year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“Angel walked in it and she killed it, absolutely killed it. I texted my agents right away,” Cunningham said. “This has been a dream of mine since second grade. I’ve always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel. I don’t really have the boobs.”
Cunningham then revealed that she’s a huge fan of Candice Swanepoel, who became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010.
“I love Candice,” Cunningham added, via ClutchPoints. “She’s my favorite. She’s the most stunning one. They’re all stunning. It’d be so fun to walk in that fashion show. Angel really did kill it. She looked stunning. She looked beautiful.”

Sophie Cunningham has become a household name.
There aren’t many WNBA stars as popular as Cunningham. She currently has 1.3 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 million followers on TikTok.
As far as Cunningham’s WNBA career is concerned, she’s coming off a frustrating season with the Fever. She started playing some of her best basketball of the season in the summer before going down with an MCL tear in her right knee.
Cunningham averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game for the Fever. The veteran sharpshooter really stepped up during Caitlin Clark’s absence.
We can’t wait to see what Cunningham has in store for her fans in 2026.
